"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."

This is one of 93 photos of Andy McCutcheon that are used in The New High-Intensity Training to illustrate the recommended exercises.

If you find this video interesting you should read Arthur Jones autobiography ... "And God Laughs" ...

Arthur describes in great detail his relationship with his former very young wife ... the old man was a real wild cat lol

I've seen this video and a few others. At times there's some humour, but there's also an air of awkwardness that makes for difficult viewing.

From Arthur's autobiography "And God Laughs" ... I was sitting around my house in Lake Helen one day with my wife and seven other women, and I suddenly realized that I was fucking all eight of them, together with a long list of other girls. But none of them appeared to know what I was doing with any of the other women; or, if they did know, said nothing about it. lmao

Arthur remind me of my late father, those man born in the early twenties ... with extremely high levels of natural testosterone ... looking back at my dads pictures from high school, him and his classmates looked like already grown man. In my own yearbook ... we look like children.

I'll bet those 8 women were of high quality. Pillars of the community who you'd be proud to take home to show mom.

A bit of exaggeration never hurts either.

I also bet they had no interest at all in a rich man.

I always admired Jones for his Nautilus inventions and different approach to strength training but don't have a lot of respect for him for the way in which he treated and spoke of women - especially his wife.

If true, screwing eight of her friends besides a host of others isn't something to brag about.

Some guys admire that kind of shit in other men, I don't in the least.

I agree.

I am a huge Arthur Jones fan... but I am a one woman man....always was and always will be!!!

I think he paid dearly for his mistakes though!!!

Apart from anything else it gets tiring if you're putting in regular shift patterns.

Yeah, you're right not to judge.. Back in those days it was a macho thing to screw as many women as possible whether you or they were married or not.

I don't think it was testosterone related as the other poster said, I think it was just an ego thing. My Dad and his buddies were the same way but I saw early on the hurt it caused others and never wanted to do that. Later when I was a musician women were always available but I almost always had a steady girlfriend and still wouldn't cheat - believe it or not !

The other members of the band would be disgusted with me ... " Fine rock star you'll be ! " they'd growl when they'd see me turn it down. LOL

It's funny, you only think of 'Groupies' with the famous bands ... but there were 'Goupie-Wannabes' starting at the bottom - just like the musicians ! LOL .

I just lost all respect for A.J., I could make some comments but will keep them to myself.

It's the capability to have that many women available that's impressive to me. I wouldn't myself care to capitalize on that as he did, but I sure wouldn't mind having the option.

It's only really the kind of power that most young women have (and mostly squander), an unimaginable power, to the extent that they can get away with pretty much anything in life, which I don't think even a man like Arthur would have been able to imagine fully. It's really rare for a man to even taste that kind of privilege.

The "patriarchy" for the most part means the privilege of men to get to work their asses off and become as disposable as possible to the whims of a woman. One of the great moments of light in my life was when I said to myself, "I'm out."

Don't throw the baby out with the soiled bedsheets!

I still respect AJ's exercise equipment and scientific study accomplishments, even if I realized a long time ago that he had many many flaws outside those endeavors.

Yes , let's not confuse his crazy private life with his genius for exercise equipment ,exercise in general and other stuff. He was quite amazing! I'm sure given the opportunities he had many of us would do crazy stuff as well.

Yes second that big time.
We can talk rethoric if ya want....

Even besides that, some people just respect good morals. From what I see, AJ had questionable morals, he was cranky, thought he knew it all, barked at everyone if they disagreed...
Yeah, that's what I call a good person.
