"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."

This is one of 93 photos of Andy McCutcheon that are used in The New High-Intensity Training to illustrate the recommended exercises.

Just wanted to drop you guys a line that if you go to www.nautilusbio.com you will come to a page that has the first three chapters (and two versions of each) of the Nautilus biography as written by William Jones (Arthur's son). Sounds like he is kind of testing the waters to see if people are interested in hearing about all this and wants input from people who are. It has his email address so go check it out and let him know that we want to hear anything and everything about Nautilus and Arthur Jones.

Thanks for telling us. This is great. I would love to see this be a full length book.

I was unable to access anything other than the home page. I would welcome anything new about Nautilus and Arthur Jones.
By the way Arthur's movie "The Voodoo Swamp" ,with Bill Pearl playing the part of a zombie ( almost playing himself, I guess ), is available as a bonus on a Zombie dvd at the link below for $9.99. Atomic Athlete also has it ,but you must also buy Bill Pearls autobiography in softcover, for a total cost of about $50 ,once s&h is added in. It is the epitome of a B movie and there are no credits so you don't see Arthur's name , but it is obviously his film. One of the scenes shows a small wild boar (peccary) being shot with a .45 submachine gun. I have a VHS copy of Wild Cargo with a scene where Arthur is doing the same thing.

I forgot the link for the Voodoo Swamp DVD. If anybody else knows of any good sources of info about Arhtur, Nautilus or MedX , besides Cyberpump , PDA or IART , I would really appreciate knowing about it.
Here is the link for the DVD

Thanks

If the first link for the DVD doesn't work try this one.. http://www.media-blasters.com/...=1644&ScrH=1014

Then type in Blood of The Zombie in the search. The Voodo Swamp is a bonus on this title.

Hey thanks for the link, its always great to hear about Arthur and the old Nautilus company.
I was just wondering if William is still in Arthur's good books? I thought he had stooped talking to one of his sons?

He stopped talking to Edgar who use to run Hammer Strength. William is still in his good book and has been an employee at MEDX for quite a while. I think it was DR.Leistner who said that he was a computer genius.

Why?

Gary ran Hammer Strength, Edgar visits Arthur on a regular basis , he never ran anything.

I tried again , no luck , home page only.

My bad,
Got Gary confused with the other son. In "And God Laughs" Arthur says he stopped speaking to Gary and has disowned him. Apparently Gary said things to the media about Arthur that were not true.

No luck for me either. I was just able to read a preface.

Bill,

What kind of actor was Bill Pearl in this "Voodoo Swamp?" I can kind of tell by the title, but was it even a speaking role?

You sure that this guy is actually Arthur's son and not some scam artist? In version one, chapter three he talks about Boyer Coe also competing against Casey at the 1971 Mr America and Boyer winning the best abdominal award, the only bodypart award that Casey didn't win. Boyer won the 1969 Mr America in Chicago. I attended that contest. This was way after you could win more then one. Grimec being the only one to do so.

He needs to get his facts straight if he going to do something about Arthur. Maybe DR Darden can clear this up.

No , he didn't say a word. He did kind of growl a bit. It is a terrible movie, but it is interesting if you are interested in Jones.

Coe never won a best abs in his life and if he was at that contest he was not on stage. Charles Amato took best abs in that contest. I have heard Arthur talk about Joyce, Eva , Edgar and Gary but never William. Not once.

I am pretty sure Arthur had five children and I think his dad was named William Edgar Jones. I have a book around here that has the names of all his children in it , but I have a couple thousand books and although my wife is a librarian, I sure as hell am not.

Whoever he is, he needs spell check and a co-writer with good grammatical skills.

Erik: You don't see the Chapter links on the bottom of that Preface page?

In one of the chapters he describes a conversation he had with Arthur when he was a kid about drug use and Arthur calls him Edgar. His full name is William Edgar Jones and he talks about his office at MEDX. This is the son that Arthur talked about "In God Laugh" that always carries three pistols and Arthur asked him why because he only has two hands. Maybe Drew could clear this up since he lives in Florida and has contacts at MEDX, I think the guy is legit, he says he will be posting pictures on the website and his writing style is very similar to Arthurs. Also he talks about a biography that Arthur wrote in the early 70's that was two thousand pages long.

I would try calling Arthur but, he doesn't answer his phone like he used to.

Scott,

Thanks for asking. Yes, I see the highlighted chapter links, but when I click on them, nothing happens. I'm not sure if my computer skills (or lack of) are in play here or not.

Anyway, I've never heard of William Jones either. Is this book even a completed piece of work? I suppose it could be interesting, but I'm curious if he's able to find the "Man Bites Dog" in the story, or it's more of a history report. If it's nothing more than an unfinished idea, then for me anyway, it doesn't have much value. From what you're saying, it sounds more like the proverbial case of ... Is that it written on the napkin there?

OK , I got the scoop. This is Edgar Jones. His full name is William Edgar Jones , after Arthur's father.
I met Edgar in 95. If he can pull this off it would be great, but he is going to need someone to help him write and edit it. I think it might have the possability to fill some gaps but, as far as the veracity is concerned, I would assume doubtful. Knowing what little I do of Edgar, I think it will be very subjective. In other words, if it happens , take it with a huge grain of salt. I say more power to him , if he can get it done.

Arthur did say he had five children ; Edgar aka William, Gary ( Hammer strength ) , Eva MD , Joyce, and an illegitamate Mexican child , name unknown to me.
Cyberpump now has this posted for anybody who cannot access the above links.
