"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."

This is one of 93 photos of Andy McCutcheon that are used in The New High-Intensity Training to illustrate the recommended exercises.

According to Darden's New HIT, routines change every 6 weeks. Others say it's not enough and 2 or 3 months is best to really guage results because first month is learning the exercise? Bottom line.
give me the shortest time needed to be on a routine before changing it.
Also, what is longest time want to be on a routine before changing it?
Thanks

I say 6 weeks is perfect...there are not all that many exercises to learn in the book and most overlap into all the routines.

That's a real good question and something I've wondered myself. I often wonder if I'm going to create "muscular imbalances" if I don't change things up or have "enough" variety.
