Determine the Length of Your Workouts

Keep Warm-Up in Perspective

"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."

Heh. I thought you were going to ask for the height and weight of the members of the rock band KISS.

I'm about 5'8" and 185. I'm roughly the same body shape as Joe Means (he's the same height and 3 pounds lighter in the photo to the left) but not nearly as lean right now. I'm probably around 12%, so if I dropped down to about 175 I'd be about 6%. My goal is to be 180 at 5% by the end of this year.

I'm actually the runt of my family. My father and uncles are all big and never touched a weight. My brother is a competitive bodybuilder, same height, competes at about 225-230lbs. Yes, he uses HIT also.

Good Idea! To make more interesting tell your best bodyparts!

Biceps & Quads are my best! (weak hamstrings, calve and forearms. no matter what those were always weak :( )

my strong parts, if i just 'look' at my biceps or quads they get bigger!

(i wonder if there is a phylogenetic connection??)

anyway, best parts:

Biceps: 17 3/8"
thighs: 27 5/8"

I am trying to lose about 10lbs. of fat and gain a 2lbs. muscles. I would be ripped if I can do it. I have cut out all sugar and refined flour. I am choosing lower carb alternatives when possible. I am watching saturated fats only. Eating lots of lean meats, nuts, and nonstarch vegetables. I am eating berries and granny smith apples for fruit. Lots of dark green lettuce with Paul Newmans Oil & Vinager dressing. It is great. A good snack is Slim Fast low carb (2 carbs) carmel nut bars. They have 20 grams of protein, 200 calories and no trans fats. They are the best tasting bars I have ever tasted. I do not count carbs, I just try and limit myself to the good ones and reduce the amount.

I am 5'7 tall at 185 lbs. I have about 25% body fat. I am small boned ( 6 & 1/2 wrists, 8 & 1/2 inch ankles. I am 33 years of age. I have been working out for almost 4 months. I have completed new HIT beginner routine #1 and #2, also did experiment of 2 weeks of every day training and on that I increased all exercises weight by 20% in those 2 weeks alone. Prior to all this I used to work out with Nautilus in 1989-1990. I started at age 11 in 1983. stopped working out all together 5 years ago. Wrong crowd, I got into smoking. I started working out again like I said a few months ago when I started new HIT. I have read all of jones and Darden's books and have tried all the programs in it back then. These 2 men are the greatest humans on earth.

6 feet and 160 Lbs.

I would say forsure my Quads are my strongest muscle, for strength they are outrageously disproportionate to my body (Not even due to incorrect proportion of exercises, just naturally).

Also, my biceps and lats tend to be slightly stronger than the rest of my upper body.

Hopefully that weight goes up, I'm still quite young.
