If any of you get bored with your scheduled workout and want to try something short 'just for kicks' try the Trap Bar DL / Clean and Press combo like this :

Pick a weight you can do a hard 20 reps with for the Deadlift and a weight you'd have a hard time getting 12 with in the Clean and Press.

Do the DL for 12 reps and immediately pick up the barbell and do 10 reps in the C & P.(A Fat bar is even better for the presses)

Rest two minutes and try for those reps again ;

Rest two minutes and try for those 12 HL's and 10 C&P again.

That's it ...

First time I did this I was gasping for air harder than I ever did - almost to the point to where I started thinking I wasn't going to enough oxygen in fast enough with out an oxygen bottle !

Lot's of fun, huh ?

So many times I think about this stuff ; coming up with stuff that leaves you down and out on the floor in a cold sweat, walking around sore all the time, spending your 50th birthday trying to DL 405 X 15 instead of sitting in Pizza Hut with friends, pizza and a pitcher of beer like you should be.

You have to be a little 'off' to be doing crap like this, don't you think ?
