"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."

This is one of 93 photos of Andy McCutcheon that are used in The New High-Intensity Training to illustrate the recommended exercises.

I have recently come across some VINTAGE NAUTILUS machines. Please let me know of your specific wants. I have available right now Nautilus Neck and Shoulder, Nautilus 4 Way Neck, Compound Leg Machine, Double Shoulder Machine, Leg Curl Machine, Double Chest Machine, and Multi Exercise Machine. I may have others and will know I hope, by Monday. Those with a serious interest, let me know. David

I might be interested in one of those, and know someone who might be interested in the double machines. Give me a call.

Drew, I just had a clear look at your icon, and I noticed your traps were in pretty good shape! did you play ball or something? if not any suggestions on how I can bring up that bodypart?

I've always had decent traps, even before HIT when I was skinny. I don't train them any differently than I train any other muscle group. Just heavy, basic exercises.

JN: There may be one (compund bicep later version circa 1978 - 1982) when I go to the warehouse on Wednesday afternoon. I may buy it and sell it out. David

David, what is the difference between the earlier and the later? Attached is a picture of the one I'm looking for, thanks.

John.

That is one COOL looking machine. That looks almost like a machine I've seen photos of as a prototype I think around the time of the Colarodo experiment called the "Mangler Biceps Machine". Never knew it was actually produced. How does it work and what makes it so sought after??

Keeping your upper arms in the raised position is the only way to fully contract the biceps. I think this is the only machine I've ever seen that allows for this.

Holy Crap I never knew this! I just raised my bis up to about ear level and flexed them. I can tell by the ache that it's more fully contracted than it's ever been. I wonder what I can do to duplicate this in the gym. Talk to me Sofa. I'm being serious by the way
