"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."

This is one of 93 photos of Andy McCutcheon that are used in The New High-Intensity Training to illustrate the recommended exercises.

The 1st FDA approved weight loss drug, ALLI is going on the market, from the predecessor Xenical (largely unsuccessful). The generic name is orlistat. The drug reduces fat uptake in the intestines, thereby reducing total calorie intake.

so-called "experts" will discover only
after a few people have gotten sick or
dropped dead from it. I realize that a
lot of people have trouble dieting--and
I'm one of them--but whatever happened
to eating decent meals, exercising, and
good ol' willpower? Pills ain't gonna
do it--rebound effect and all that. We've turned into a pill culture--pop
something to either get big, or thin,
or whatever. This kinda crap I want no
part of...

it might work if it restricted sugar uptake or carbs or something... why fat? why not any other form of calorie? sounds pretty retarded to me.
