"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."

This is one of 93 photos of Andy McCutcheon that are used in The New High-Intensity Training to illustrate the recommended exercises.

I just started taking creatine again. Its in my NO Explode pre workout drink. I am also taking 5 grams in the morning in a protein shake, and 5 again after lifting or cardio at night.

I dont take it one day a week and let my system flush. I drink plenty of liquids. Atleast a half a gallon of water, besides other drinks (protein shakes, diet pepsi, propel, etc)

Any other ideas on creatine?

Yeah, here's an idea, try Creatine Ethyl Ester. Creatine Monohydrate works great for a lot of people but there are also people who are non-responders. I never got much out of it, except stomach issues, regardless of how much water I drank. With CEE there I know people who love it but I've also seen others say it's just hype but I thought I'd try it anyway. I certainly don't think its hype.

After my first month of using it I gained 11lbs. with no change in my diet or training. I consider that a huge gain considering I'm an experienced bodybuilder with over 20 years of training, and I already weighed 258 at the start. A couple of benefits of CEE are that I don't have any stomach issues and you don't have to take much.

I take 5 grams a day (two 2.5g doses) and one more 2.5g dose on workout days. The only problem with it is that it tastes horrible.

Now as far as the NO Explode, drop that stuff. You can find a lot info on why you don't want or need it but here's an article from Drew's website.

What a load of crap.

Hey Bill, are you really 270lbs? Who's the skinny guy in your avatar? Looks good.

I dont use the Xplode for the "pump", although there is some result from that. I use it because of all the pre work out energy drinks I ever had there is nothing that comes close. I get a really good kick in the ass from it.

In that aspect, for me, that is not a load of crap.

Try to VasoCharge by Scivation or Supercharge 250 by Labrada (I think...it could be Gaspari). They taste a hell of a lot better than NOX. I take the stuff for the same reason as you, pre-workout boost. The "pump" effects of it wore off after my first 2 weeks but the increased energy and mental focus remain.

Yeah I am a bit over 270 right now. The avatar is a photo of me 20 years ago at about 190 or so. I have very few photos of myself left as my ex-wife took a lot of stuff out of spite.

I am carrying too much fat right now , but I am going to give up the ice cream and see what happens.

You guys are aware , I suppose , that there are little oblong blue pills that increase nitrous oxide quite a bit ? You know , Viagra and if you want time release there is Cealis. They are guaranteed to give you a good pump and are probably cheaper than supplements.

Like I said...xplode, for me, is not taken for the blood pump. Strictly and energy thing, if I start using Viagra to workout,,,,I can see my wife packing up now.

I don't know... I saw Bioforce say in another thread that when he buys Viagra he pays about $8 a pop (no pun intended).

Got the wrong guy.

Luckily I don't require anything like that, but have taken Arginine every morning for the last 20 years.

Thought I would get in on this.
Yes Arginine is really good. I also take creatine. What do you guys think about pro-hormones? I am taking one now along with good workouts, a good diet and trying to get enough rest.

I've gone up 5 pounds in the last 2 and a half weeks. But I've always had a hard time gaining. I've was at 135 lbs, doing HIT and trying to gain as much as I can. This stuff is helping, though I don't want to keep relying on it, but I need all the help I can get.
