"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"

must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for

MUCH of that "something."

I saw Levrone on youtube and he is doing some type of transformation videos. I guess he's documenting himself from week 1 completely out of shape to whatever.

Has anyone seen this? In the first few weeks he looks like he almost never touched a weight. Is he preparing for a contest or something? It looks like he's not on steroids.

Best regards,

Ron

Bio posted Levrone's transformation site a while back and it prompted me to post my own Scott report. I'm making a tad less progress, ha ha.I've been watching the Levrone report quite a bit as it's quite interesting and at times funny. As you probably know he was huge before and now he claims to be drug free. I'm sure he retained some size from the years of drugs and he is a genetic giant to begin with so he has great potential, drugs or no drugs.

Watching him hoist those big dumbells is amazing. I was in Dicks Sporting Goods store the other day and they had a pair of about 100 pound dumbells on display. Levrone is sometimes lifting much heavier dumbells. I could barely dead lift the 100 pound dumbells off the rack much less even think of getting one to shoulder level and doing presses ha ha.

Reminds me of a funny story. When I moved to CA the first day I did arms at WORLD gym I wanted to rip some heavy weights and I had performed seated curls with 100's recently so I thought I'd "curl to impress".

Zabo was on duty, and sitting on the incline ab bench doing some of his thousands of reps about 10 feet away.

I ripped the 100's off the rack and stepped back and sat down and did a set of 10 (5 reps each arm) of alternate curls with pretty loose form.

Stood up, racked em, and looked over at ZABO. He is shaking his head and said "What the F___K was that?

We both broke out laughing and he kidded me about that set almost everytime I came to the gym. He was a deadpan fun guy.

But to your point, curling 100# db's with any semblence of curling form IS A FEAT.

Also they are easier to curl "seated" than standing.

I enjoy DB curling far more seated than standing, but never thought seated was easier, will have to think about this one.

However when I was doing my 30/15/10, it would be imposable to do them standing as of the relative weight and speeds, as I just had to you my other arm to stable myself, otherwise my reps have been far to jerky and I would have been throwing them up.

But seated I was just doing them fairly strict but far faster.

When I start doing these again I will have to video

I have never tried curling a 100 pound DB, but I would imagine 40 pounds x 30 is good in your books, ok it was 38.5 I did for 30 reps.

i've been following the Levrone Report for the last 8 weeks... His transformation is remarkable. A true genetic freak. He took a drug test a few weeks ago and posted the results on his site.

My guess is he won't be able to gain much more size at this point without going back to drug use, but that's just conjecture.

Yeah, I heard that the third party that ran the drug test is also the same company that made Dr. Ken's "fake" squat plates.

I need some of those - where can I get them? I have been using fake plates for over a quarter century now to fool everyone....Mine are magnesium ;-)

But seriously, I bet he is geared up ;-)

listen to the Leverone radio broadcasts on www.rxmuscle.com/rx-muscle-radio.html

There are two of them, one challenging him to be tested, and one after the test.

The results from the transformation, although impressive, have left him with a natural looking body, which is very unimpressive compared to his former chemically assisted self. Im still waiting to see what the point of all this is? Where is the money coming from? Where is it going next?

This would mean that John Romano and Dave Palumbo are 'in on it'. Hardly likely due to Romano's stance on steroids.

That's what I've been wondering all along about the Levrone report. What is the point of it all? I"m guessing that he has been out of the spot light a while and this is the only way he knows to get attention again? Why is he supposedly doing it steroid free now? Did he have trouble with the drugs before or what? Was his liver going to fall out?

I like the training video's but the one's where he is just talking are comical. Like the one where he's eating dinner and then the camera focuses on his face chewing etc. It's like he knows it's a joke but is playing along with it for fun?

As he said alot of the size he has now is from muscle memory and his genetics. Not huge by his before standards but plenty big for me to ever dream of being.
I especially think it's interesting how he seemed to know he would gain 5 pounds a week or whatever it was and he did it on schedule. He must have known from past experiance that he could easilly shoot back up in size in a short time.

I think you will find Kevin is chest pressing with them, 120's or something like that. I could be wrong but Ive seen most of the videos and I havnt seen him curl 100's.

How many people do you know, that are 190 pounds, been of lifting for 4 years, can gain 40 pounds of muscle and lose 10 pounds of fat in 8 weeks, and end up 240 pounds ???

And just after 5 weeks can do 120lb Incline Dumbbells Press for 6 reps each hand ???

Mind you saying all that, there must be quite a lot of natural people that can and will gain far faster than the average.

To get it into context you need to think who it is here - its Kev Levrone, not just 'somebody'

How many people do you know who used to weigh close to 300lbs (and fairly lean) made a come back?

I also presume as he was trying to be an actor, the truth is, he was actually working out the few years he has been away from pro-bodybuilding.

120 lbs dumbells isnt very heavy at all for a 240 lb bodybuilder who used to rep with 600lbs bench (I have been training about 8 weeks or so with CFS and with an imperfect shoulder operation and I can BB bench 231 lbs for reps and sets at a soft/flabby 200 lbs bodyweight.Thats after a huge lay off and illness) - but more than all that, he passed a drug test and LOOKS natural, yes he could be taking a few undetectable things, but we know what he looks like on drugs.......AND IT AINT LIKE THAT.

I hope he goes on to do some 'proper bodybuilding' now and wins the Mr O , now that would be cool, and I much prefer Kev Levrone over Dexter Jackson..any day.

That is correct.

Did you notice that he seemed "drugged" or drunk? Like his mind couldn't follow his train of thought?

Yep, not sure what that was all about, perhaps just tongue tied with the camera? Or perhaps a big dose of nubain or some pain killing drugs? God knows.

Yeah, the internet can be great like that.

I happen to agree with you; Kevin Levrone appears to be natural so far, to me. It doesn't take a genius to look at the condition he was in during his 5 year lay off and see that he is no ordinary specimen. Especially in his arms. He's built to carry muscle. And he is no where near the size he was in the '90s as a pro.

There is a very clear difference between now and then:

The way Leveone talks is one reason it's fun to watch his video's. He has this odd sort of glassy look in his eye's. Sort of this sarcastic joking look as well.

I don't know how tall he is however my guess would be between 5'8" - 5'10". I have a hard time believing he weighs over 240 lbs. He does not look that large. Also, his transformation beginning videos showed him with his shirt off and holding a couple poses and then after results just pumped in a gym with a sleeveless shirt.

Would like to see if he was actually leaner and how much better he looked. I really don't buy into everything that I see in a video.

Regards,

Ron
