"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."

This is one of 93 photos of Andy McCutcheon that are used in The New High-Intensity Training to illustrate the recommended exercises.

the big fella has a very admirable physique especially considering his height. a tall guy has a harder time looking thick and musculature...

I'd say you do a good job of looking thick. ;)

Scott Simon H!

Good pics my man. Good pics!

BeauMann,

Lookin good.... And your son all ready appears to be stage ready; with his obvious height advantage and posing techniques, he would absolutely destroy Franco Columbu in a posedown!

Smanjh,

It's working. You seem like you have a good structure, good potential.

Turpin,

As always.

Here is a blurry but still recognizable picture from before working out today.

269, still a lot to go, but I was an untrained 345 or so pretty much in February, and only got to train again since April.

I want to try and get 'Southbeach approved' lean wise before next summer, but I am now sort of pacing myself since it is going to get pretty damn cold here soon, and thus really no motivating factor outside of 1-2 pound per week gradual fat loss.

Nice guns, smanjh.

So let me get this straight. You have been as big as 345 around a year ago, and you are at 269 presently?

I wouldn't of guessed looking at your picture. Muscle can be dense for sure, hey.

Hey Rob,

I am 251-253 right now and just trying to maintain for the moment. I lost some weight from that last picture. I had some more updated pictures in the log I was doing before I figured no one really cared (plus work sort of cranked up for me).

I always hear that about the weight, people think I am at least 40 pounds lighter than I really am.

Yes, 345 was when I had a back issue and a drinking problem as the trolls like to tease about. I had to totally redo just about everything training wise to keep marching back towards my previous best look.

Thanks for the kidness though:).

Simon looks real good, glad he posted some pictures. I am wanting to make a masturbation joke about the forearms, but nothing is coming to me (lol).

I will say it will take years to correct my right forearm's size imbalance from years of daily HIT sessions, lol.

There's a whole bunch of guys on here who have never posted a picture of their muscles or a video of them working out. I really don't get it? I have posted many pictures and video's and I look like shit compared to a real bodybuilder. This is about bodybuilding more than anything yet these guys won't even post a shot of their arm. They'd be better off going to a debate forum where they can debate and argue about everything and no one would care if they ever actually lifted or not.

Turpin wrote; I agree , there is a lot of advice ( good/bad ... and some just nonsense ) espoused on this forum and it would be interesting to see the results of such advice when ( if ever ) it was put into practice.

I like to read the views of others & dont mind pondering & debating those views that are contrary to mine , moreso if I have never tried such ( although demeaning attitudes/posts ARE hard to take ) , but surely to substantiate ones view, ( especially as vociferously as some do ) a CLEAR pic of ones results by the implementation of that which they espouse is not hard to post.

It's been just over a year since this thread began, any updates?

I'd like to see someone's progress and I'll see if I can post something myself. I'm curious if there is any change for me as well.
