"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."

This is one of 93 photos of Andy McCutcheon that are used in The New High-Intensity Training to illustrate the recommended exercises.

Interesting read. To be fair quite a lot of Natural Bodybuilders keep water in their diet right up until they go on stage (although most will still follow a carb deplete/load and cut water the evening before a contest.)

In regard to deaths as a result of dehydration the only ones i`m aware of are when "assisted" competitors take a strong pharmaceutical diuretic and in the process rid the body of intracellular minerals such as potassium causing their muscles, and in particular their heart to cramp and stop functioning.

And all of that is nuts just to win a bodybuilding contest.

I agree with you. In any competitive endevour you will find some people who will go to extreme lengths to be victorious but to play "Russian Roulette" with one`s life (when it`s not even necessary to do so) is total insanity !
