"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."

This is one of 93 photos of Andy McCutcheon that are used in The New High-Intensity Training to illustrate the recommended exercises.

Never happened, not with Arthur anyway. Plenty of threads on how Casey actually trained on this site.

Cant argue with that when it comes from a credible source as such!

"Viator performed 20 reps in the leg press with 750 pounds, followed immediately by 20 reps with 225 pounds in the leg extension, which in turn were followed immediately by 13 full squats with 502 pounds."-Then the rest of the body.

So tired of bitter hitters like Kultisa..if you had half a brain or ever trained truly hard, the logic of sneaking out and doing a two hour workout after an Arthur Jones supervised session does not compute.

Read my post, the only exercise you do is obviously jumping into conclusions.

Plus, I asked Mr. Bryan a question, unless you are Mr. Bryan I would suggest you to wait until you are asked a question, then you can start your stupid, verbal diarrhea.

Keep in mind, Kultisa thinks Mentzer had bad genetics for bodybuilding. LMAO.

When at Nautilus around 1973 I saw Casey training on the machines in the show room and he went from one machine to the other in about as fast as he could finish one and get on to the next and was done before we got a good chance to look at all the machines and that was about a half hour or so.

Way to ruin any chance of "Mr. Bryan" responding by starting your usual verbal antics in a thread.

Why would he want to participate in this now....??

Like Jim Bryan has the time to waste looking up the million and a half threads on here about how Viator trained? Like anyone who has been on here for some time doesn't know by now how Viator trained under Arthur or even when he was on his own afterwards.

My condolences to his family & friends, and may God meet Casey Viator at The Pearly Gates with a big glass of his favorite flavor of nutritional-shake, and a golden set of barbells!

(I never sought to speak with Viator, as I never did with Arthur Jones, since I always figured that I would let their achievements speak for themselves; but, it's still sad to see them go, no matter if I knew them or not.)

Dr. Darden,

If you feel it is appropriate, would you give us a few thoughts and your memories of Casey Viator?

Thanks,
Tony

A close reading of the "Flex" article reveals that the above claim was made in an article written by one Achilles Kallos and published in the October 1971 issue of "Iron Man." Viator doesn't back any of that up in the "Flex" interview.

I emailed Casey a couple times after purchasing his book. He was quick to respond and thoughtful.

That's a real shame and too young to go...

RIP Casey

Casey was a very nice guy...
I was his "training partner" for
the eight or ten weeks Arthur trained
him prior to the Mr. America contest
(actually, along with the "Colorado Experiment" these were the only times that Arthur trained him directly)...
the only published accounts of this period in Casey's life that are true
were written by Arthur and Ell Darden (M&F/Flex articles and later even
the things written by Casey(at least they
had his name on them)were very far off
base...and silly)...

Guys,

Please do not use this thread to wage personal attacks. C'mon, this is about Casey and his untimely death. Let's use it to remember his legacy and contributions to bodybuilding and HIT.
Start a new thread if you want to.

Thanks.

I can see it now, Casey just arrives in heaven and here comes Jones. " What took you so long!" I've got a whole new routine and a bunch of new machines for you to try so let's get hopping"! Casey rolls his eyes and says " ok, is this heaven or is this hell?"
