"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."

This is one of 93 photos of Andy McCutcheon that are used in The New High-Intensity Training to illustrate the recommended exercises.

Ellington Darden

Gainesville Health & Fitness was lucky enough to receive a special, Collector's Edition of my new book, The Body Fat BREAKTHROUGH, ahead of the publication date.

As result, last Friday night, Joe Cirulli and Gainesville Health & Fitness had a Meet-the-Author Party. I spoke about some of my experiences in doing research for the project. Afterward, Gainesville Health & Fitness sold 125 books and I spent an enjoyable hour signing each of the copies for the enthusiastic attendees. We all had a great time.

On April 1, 2014, the book will be in all major bookstores. It will also be available on Amazon and many other Internet booksellers.

Congrats, Ell Darden. Thank you for your continuing contributions to the world of fitness. The world is a much better place because of you and your mentor. I know I wouldn't have the life
I have without the knowledge I have gained from your writings. You don't know me but we have grown older together because I have embraced your fitness ideology for 37 years. Let's see if we can make it 37 more!

Congratulations on what will most likely be another of your many fine books. While body fat issues are low priority on my list it's nice to see you are still at writing exercise books and presenting them in you nice and friendly way.You are a great inspiration to all of us.

Looks great Dr. D! Look forward to the read. Does this also outline the new Negative machines?

Thank you,

Some really excellent and thought-provoking information inside. The strategies are not 'easy,' far from it (and it deals with a lot more than the negative-based equipment, which is a small part of this book), but that is what makes it so effective. Not for the average person overall (since people look for the easy way most of the time), but there are ideas that can be applied even then to help accelerate progress. Nice work!

Luv it, great choice with the word 'breakthrough'.

Up here in Canada I've heard the beard is back, now it's official!

Great stuff Doc, congrats and all the best.

I just don't see how you can implement the ideas in this book if you only have conventional equipment.

Plenty of methods to create negative accentuated no? Or do you mean specifically without machines?

Can you elaborate, please? Have you already read the book? I ask because I have only "conventional equipment".

No I haven't read the book - but not being funny -looks like it's about the power of negative training to me.

And yeah don't tell me about negative this, that and the other with conventional equipment. Im far from the biggest but I can already do 6 full rep dips with about 80lbs attached to a dip belt plus negatives so any more weight to accentuate the negatives will probably make the chain snap.

Chin ups I find awkward.

A find negatives with Dumbbells ok, for some manaouvers.

Negative Accentuated isn't just about weight. Do you know of Darden's 30/30/30 protocol? Bill D'Simone (congruent exercise) did some work with it after a bout of XForce training.

Attention to all osmotic and telepathic book reviewers: Please keep your judge-a-book-by-its-cover ASSumptions to yourselves.

It's like Amazon, where all the 'experts' come out of the woodwork to write book reviews whenever something controversial -- esp political -- is the subject matter.

Read-up or STFU!!!
