"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."

This is one of 93 photos of Andy McCutcheon that are used in The New High-Intensity Training to illustrate the recommended exercises.

Im excited. I have had this book a long time, but have only used the regular routines listed--begin, and Inter. (Not always exactly obviously). And would get bored ect. Decided I am really going to get into the Specialization Routines in the book. Like Phase 4. Starting with Arms 3 sessions in 9 days, then Back 3 sessions in 9 days. Im very excited and looking forward to it.Its not exact, like will be using my Total Gym for chin ups and Dips portion,,,but will work well!

It's important to take about 2 weeks between the Specialization Routines (maybe more). After the Arms routines, go back to some standard routines.

In fact, try NOT doing any direct arm work for the first week after you finish the specialization period. Then, do another week of standard full body(ish) routines.

Then, you can move to the Back Specialization. After that work everything but Back for a week, the onto full body again.

You probably also take 4-5 days off after the end of each specialization period. So:
1. Arm Specialization
2. Take 4-5 days off
3. 1 Week of every BUT arms. For upper body, emphasize chest, back, and delt work that does NOT include arms
4. 1-2 weeks of regular routines.
5. Then start your Back Specialiation

Best,
Scott
