"Doing more exercise with less intensity,"
Arthur Jones believes, "has all but
destroyed the actual great value
of weight training. Something
must be done . . . and quickly."
The New Bodybuilding for
Old-School Results supplies
MUCH of that "something."

This is one of 93 photos of Andy McCutcheon that are used in The New High-Intensity Training to illustrate the recommended exercises.

I saw Yates' Joe Rogan interview. Definitely very interesting to watch, but some of his nuttiness was definitely evident in it. Give it a viewing/listening if you get the time.

Well. I know survivors from the Holocaust. Let me just say that I've lost all respect for Dorian Yates.
How can he spew his utter arrogant ignorant bullshit to Dave Palumbo who's mother is Jewish.
I don't care what drugs he is on. Fuck him. End of story

Not surprisingly, look at the comments section of that video, it mostly reads "Dorians got balls", "Dorians the man" etc, complete donuts.

I think like Mentzer we can put Yates in the category of nut cases who took one to many drugs. The drugs and life style these guys live takes a toll not just on the body but on the brain.

From what I've heard about Mike and some of his unusual behavior but nothing about Ray at all in this arena.
The story I heard was that Mike showed up at the gate of Jumbo Lair ( Arthur's mansion ) demanding that the gaurd.let him in because he was Arthur's s son. Also I was told he was " high " and acting like a meth addict .

I would say Dorian looks in good nick for his age.

Imagine working for Jones as both Mike and ray did and having Jones call you (Ray) up to demonstrate a machine for a client and then refusing to do so which led to his firing ( according to what I read). What a bone head move for Ray. Shortly after that stupidity they both left Nautilus. Who wouldn't give their eye teeth to have been in their position where you could fart around at Nautilus, make some videos, demonstrate some machines, be around Nautilus and Jones and get paid! They both obviously had a screw loose somewhere.

Dorian was a super nice guy when I met him (early 90's)...clearly his outlook has changed over the years with his retirement and change in life. I still believe his concepts on training is pretty spot on, which is what The Shadow, is known for. That's the main thing, not his radical beliefs.

The people who no longer want to do business with him care less about his nickname or that he trained in HIT style.
I recall the England football manager Glen Hoddle in 1999 made a ridiculous comment about "disabled people are being punished for sins they committed in a previous life", he was quickly removed from his position.

I met Yates too in the 90s, I went along thinking id learn something about HIT, instead I learnt about drugs use, training was probably only 20 percent of why he was called "the shadow".

Clarence Bass has a story somewhere on his web site about the time he met Jones. Jones offered him a job, and he declined. Clarence decided the work environment wouldn't be a good fit for him, and doesn't seem to have any regrets about that. But was persuaded to buy a hip and back machine before he left.

On a side note...seems Mike wasn't averse to helping Bass promote himself, as per Mike's nature.

You people have some waking up to do!

The people who need to wake up are the nut watch list people. Hopefully this rant of yours was enough to put you on a serious watch list.

You where happen to post on a thread a while back that had nothing to do with HIT called "political stuff here".
Dorian Yates is someone whos been held up on the shoulders of Hitters for years, its high time he was taken down. Being a holocaust denier is a step too far.

Because Yates made some crack pot statements about the Holocaust. I guess if Yates argued which toilet paper was best we'd be discussing that in detail, ha ha.

you are correct, i did post there and i regret it because imo this site is not the place.....i do agree however that denying one of the most horrific acts in world history is disgusting and should not be tolerated, just not sure this is the place

No worries mate, i regret posting some things aswell. The interview was on a bodybuilding site and was about Dorian "the man", not just the bodybuilder.

For me, i look at the whole picture, for example, when you hear the name Mike Tyson, people think of the great boxer he was, not the fact he spent a lot of his youth in a detension centre, made inapproprite sexual advances on an 11yo girl when he was 15, was a convited rapist, assaulted another figther in the ring and had his boxing licence revoked, assaulted someone after a minor car accident, drug addiction, but hey...its all ok cause he was a good boxer and said sorry. Cant pick and choose.
